JODI

Imagine being a toddler teacher and wearing all your kids out every day!

That's Jodi Now.....It wasn't like that a couple years ago.....

The hardest part was trying to trim down 35 minutes of great advice from Jodi into this shortened video.

"I always used to see phrases like “more than just a gym” and “life changing” and I thought they were lame cliches that folks threw around that didn’t mean much of anything.

Eupraxia showed me what they mean.
Before signing up, I had tried most of the stuff out there-shakes, DVD programs, even those scary diet pills (yikes). Inevitably, I cheated or lost interest and quit.
Now, going to class to workout is the best part of my day! Not only did I lose weight and learn what it means to truly be healthy (both great things), but my entire mindset has changed. I find myself thinking in terms of “I can do that, too” or “I can’t do that YET”. I set goals and achieve them, I think about food as a fuel for what I want to do (another phrase I always thought was a cliche), and I do all of that because of the incredible trainers and resources at Eupraxia.
Hands down, having the trainers is why i was able to be successful. Feedback, encouragement, and tough love! I tell everyone to try this gym-they won’t regret it!"

SHAUN

Shaun's doctors are blown away. Down over 100 pounds and off all medications....His testimonial is worth the watch!

"I joined Eupraxia with just intentions of successfully completing the 6-week challenge. The nutritional guidance (which is priceless!!) and the meal plans with grocery lists made it very simple to follow.
The kettlebell and kickboxing workouts are trainer led which was needed as I wasn’t versed in all the exercises.
Within the first week or two, I had a different mindset on commitment as I was already seeing and feeling changes. I was excited to go to class each time.

My Crohn’s disease symptoms were minimized!!

And I no longer have blood sugar issues which is due to the change of diet.

I gained confidence in myself as I dropped body fat and even gained muscle. My family has also benefited from my joining Eupraxia as we eat healthier and have the nutritional education to make better choices.

There are no gimmicks or quick fixes to good health. At Eupraxia you get authentic advice with a great support system during and following the challenge.
The trainers and gym peeps are uplifting and supportive which makes it’s very easy to walk through the door each time."

LINDSAY

I was fortunate enough to grow up in a home with parents who were athletic and health conscious. Mom home-cooked our meals, both were avid runners and my sisters and I were pretty much forced into school sports. Lack of hand-eye coordination left me with limited options so I became a distance runner. I wish I could say that these habits carried over into my adult life, but when I hit college, I swore off running and began indulging in all of the foods my parents had outlawed. After I graduated college, the weight gain went from a slow crawl to a drag race. I foolishly blamed the love handles and double digit pant sizes on bad genetics and the “fact” that, at 23 years old, my metabolism had just had enough. Under this mentality, I carried around 30-40 lbs of extra body weight for several years.

I will never forget looking through pictures from Christmas of 2008, wondering who that fat girl was wearing my sweater. (it was me...) Not to over-exaggerate, but at 180 lbs, pushing a 15/16 pant size, I was pretty uncomfortable in my own skin.  It was those photos, and that moment, that I really decided to take responsibility for own health and well-being.

For the weight loss, I chose the only route that I knew; what conventional wisdom has ingrained in us for years. The low-fat diet, centered on calories in/calories out. I spent a maddening two years running about 40+ miles a week and weighing/measuring/counting everything I put in my mouth. Did I lose weight on this routine? Yes. Was it a functional, sustainable lifestyle? No, it was time consuming and exhausting.

What really confused me was when I decided to increase my caloric intake to around 1400 calories a day (the calculated “appropriate’ intake for my BMR) my biggest fear surfaced; I began to gain weight again. Then I injured my hamstring, and running was temporarily out of the picture. I went back to the 1200 calorie diet, but was pretty much hungry all of the time. And I was still gaining weight. I truly thought I was leading the healthiest lifestyle I could. Why was I gaining weight?

It was Dr. Steve Czys and Eupraxia that led me to the answer to that question. The lifestyle that Eupraxia teaches has not only answered that question, but many more.  I didn’t know it was possible to feel so alive and healthy. I have changed my diet, my exercise and my way of thinking; became a sponge, absorbing everything I could about true health and wellness. When I was offered a full-time position at Eupraxia, there was not a lot of hesitation. To be a part of watching other people take control of their own life, to turn their health and wellbeing around, is truly an amazing opportunity.

Three years ago my grandkids and I were playing at the park and they wanted me to slide down the slide after them. So I did, or tried. I was stuck in the slide and had to pull myself forward to get to the bottom. That was my wake up call to start doing something about my weight. I started an exercise regimen twice a week. It helped me to be more active but I didn’t lose weight. I started weight watchers and lost some but I quit the program and started to put weight back on, then my friend asked me to try the 8 week program at Eupraxia because of the buy 1 get 1 free special….I signed up kicking and screaming, I remember when I met Steve (he registered us) and I said to him, “I really don’t want to do this I have my own regimen and I will be quitting after 8 weeks!” Well a year and a half later I’m still a member and I love it! The exercise is great and I feel better and stronger but the biggest change that happened to me was when I started listening to what Steve was saying at his nutrition class. I didn’t listen right away, it took me about a year before I could really grasp what Steve was talking about, but once I did I realized that it was pretty easy to do. The first thing I had to do was change what food I was eating. I got rid of the soda, juice, dairy, sugar, breads, and pasta and brought in more vegetables. I’ll be honest I needed a little push by Steve. I couldn’t believe how easy it was once I set my mind to it. I now eat vegetables with every meal with my choice of meat. I eat until I’m satisfied and not full, I don’t count calories, or think about portion size. I eat only when hungry, and if I’m not hungry I wait until I am. Doing these changes have made my weight loss journey easier than what I was doing before. I use to count calories, count points, and measure out my food but not anymore. For me weight loss is really about making the right food choices and then the weight really does come off! Exercise alone didn’t help me lose weight I had to change my eating habits too. I’ve loss 75lbs so far and my journey is still continuing and I can’t wait until I get to my final weight loss goal! Exercise and eating healthy are now part of my life (sometimes I get off track, but I get right back in the saddle again). Thanks to Steve and his support I know what food is the right food and that spices are my friends. It really is true that eating good food isn’t that hard and the benefits that come with it are awesome.

MALISSA

I had been going to Eupraxia on and off for a couple years. I have always love it but didnt stay consistent. I also didn’t eat the way I should have. Once I started eating the way Dr. Czys I really started to loose the weight. I then started going to the gym consistently and really noticed myself getting stronger. It also became less about loosing weight and more about building strength. It also has helped with stress. I love Eupraxia because they really just want the members to be healthy. The trainers are all wonderful. They are helpful in every way and will challenge you! All the members are very supportive of each other. I love telling people about Eupraxia and what it has done for me!

BRENT

When I look back to high school, I was a smaller kid entering my freshman year but throughout high school weight lifting became a big part of my life and with that I finally gained some size and muscle.  I was always one that wanted to gain muscle the old fashion way, hard work, and not take supplements.  It showed and was beyond happy with the success I had seen in myself by the time I graduated.  Well, then the real world hit and it became more about what was easy which meant fast food and gradually getting out of shape.  Fast forward a few years to 36 and life had happened for sure.  Although I was active in sports, I still wasn’t making healthy choices and wasn’t getting the workouts that my body desperately needed.  My wife, Jackie, and I have a beautiful daughter, Brynn, that is our world and it didn’t seem fair for her to have parents that kept tipping the scale the wrong way.  Jackie and I both had talked about how unhappy we had become with our body image but didn’t know where to turn and self-motivation was not existent.  That’s when Jackie and a few friends discovered Eupraxia when it came to Sparta.  After Jackie was going for about 9 months and seeing positive changes in her physique, energy and outlook on life it sparked something for me.  I couldn’t stand going up in clothes sizes anymore, it was time for me to give this Eupraxia a try.  Its been life altering to say the least.  Each day you can get in a 35-minute intense workout to kick start your fat burning and muscle building.  No need to spend hours at a gym with less than par results was HUGE for us.  We have learned what a healthy diet actually consist of which compliments the workout perfectly to keep us you going in the right direction.  Eupraxia is a judgement free zone which means everyone is there to help, motivate, push you and share stories.  It really has become a 2nd family for us.  Jackie and I really have gained some awesome friendships and look forward everyday to going to work out with our ‘family’.  Steve and his team of trainers continue to share their knowledge with us not only about diet but the do’s, don’t and why’s of exercises.  I have always been the type of guy that likes to understand why we do or don’t do certain things and the trainers have always been open to share or demonstrate because they 100% care about us.  They want us to succeed, they want us to live a healthier lifestyle and most importantly they want us to remember our WHY because that is our motivation day in and day out why we are there.

When I had [my son] Liam in 2012, I had gained 70 pounds during my pregnancy! I went from a 125 to 198 the day I went into the hospital to give birth. I wasn’t worried though because everyone told me, “This is your first child, you are young, you can eat whatever you want and the weight will just ‘fall off’.” Well let’s just say a year after getting up at 4 in the morning, to workout for 2 hours to DVDs ,without really feeling any accomplishment; plus strictly counting calories, I STARTED to lose the weight that I had gained. Then Jude happened! I was at 145 and feeling a bit accomplished the day I found out I was pregnant. Again I gained 50 pounds with him. Then after I had my beautiful boy on August 19th, 2013, I decided I wasn’t going to go the same route of trying to lose weight with him. Thank God my daycare was located next to a place called Eupraxia. I had seen people come in and out all sweaty and I decided to look into it. I remember walking in with Jude and seeing Lindsay sitting at the counter. I decided to ask her what it was all about and she decided to show me! She had me test right then and there. I was hooked! I signed up and my husband and I decided to go to the eating seminar that night. We decided to make the lifestyle change and we have been implementing it ever since. Yes, it’s very hard to adjust our whole diet but we are working very hard at it. Here I am, month 8 after Jude (where I was just starting to show results with Liam) and I’m almost down to my pre-pregnancy weight. Not only that, I’ve made friends, feel great about myself, and can feel good that I’m incorporating my healthy lifestyles into my family’s lives. I also plan on incorporating these healthy foods to the children at the daycare I own, when we get the new kitchen space. Thanks Eupraxia, you truly have changed my life!!!

KAREN

Looking back upon my first year with Eupraxia, one memory in particular comes to mind. Running, jumping and sliding in the park with my 4 year old grandson. The freedom of being able to follow him and play seeing the joy in his eyes as his “Gammy” copies his every move!! Then I flash back to the moment I decided to join Eupraxia. I woke up sick, tired and bloated. I didn’t want to feel that way anymore or ever again. I couldn’t sleep, had constant heartburn, even with medication, and uncontrolled asthma. One year, 66 pounds and 18 inches off my waist later, I no longer require medication to sleep or for my heartburn, my asthma is practically non existent and I feel amazing!!

Steve’s lectures include a segment about finding a purpose, a reason to improve and focusing on it. If I could say one thing to a person just starting out, be patient, keep your eye on your purpose and fulfill it! You are the best project you will ever work on!! The trainers at Eupraxia are so knowledgeable!! Use them, listen to them and you will find the results you are looking for! Change will come slow at first perhaps, but then like a stroll (or run) in the park, it will get easier!!

DONNA

The impact Eupraxia has had on my life is almost indescribable. They have sparked my love for fitness/physical activity that has led me to do things that I never imagined and to challenge myself in new ways everyday! I used to be very sedentary, but I’ve done 2 warrior runs now and couldn’t believe that I actually did them and that I didn’t struggle with them. I actually ran them, which I didn’t think I could do!

The group atmosphere is so positive and motivating that I look forward to going to the gym. The nutrition info shared is priceless, the difference in how my body feels/functions on a daily basis is amazing! I used to just crash, by 2 or 3 every afternoon…I didn’t think I could function anymore. And now it’s [steady] I can just go, go go! The strength and endurance that I have gained from the workouts makes daily life so much easier. The only regret that I have is I wish I would have started sooner, that I wish something would have clicked sooner. It is worth it. It is SO worth it.

MARIANNE

It was June of 2016 when my husband convinced me to join a new gym opening in Sparta called Eupraxia. We were a busy family with four young boys, I ran a business from home, served on two local Boards of Directors and volunteered at a local non-profit . . . I was exhausted, but he convinced me it was something we could do together. If I was honest with myself, I would admit that at that point in my life it had been years since I had felt good at all. I had recently been diagnosed with an autoimmune condition that left me feeling continually tired; I had no mental clarity and struggled with fogginess and poor memory. I had gained significant weight, I had eczema on my abdomen and my adult acne was the worst it had ever been. I was struggling with depression. Every fall I would be plagued with bronchitis that would last for six to eight weeks and would take several prescription antibiotics to finally clear. At just thirty six years old, I was beginning to realize that if I didn’t address my health, I wasn’t going to live the life I desired. I was ready for change, and Eupraxia would find me at just the right time.

IT FINALLY CLICKED:

I remember sitting in on the nutrition talk with Dr. Czys and listening to his evidence on the problems with sugar, grains and dairy. I started going through my favorite family recipes in my head and substituting yellow potatoes for sweet potatoes, pasta for zucchini noodles, ditching the side of bread, my roasted chicken with vegetables, favorite kale soup, and best meatloaf could all be tweaked to work. I felt the mental shift . . . I COULD DO THIS! Unlike every other diet I had tried, which focused on deprivation (low fat, low calorie), I could enjoy healthy fats, fruits, vegetables, and meat and eat when I felt hungry. My husband and I would start that day. We would begin just cutting out sugar and grains . . . because I needed a “Keep it simple stupid” approach. The first ten days were the hardest, but soon new habits were forming, and it would become more like second nature. I would eventually cut out dairy a few months later.

THINGS STARTED HAPPENING:

Within the first month of sticking to the new dietary changes and working out 3-5 days a week at Eupraxia, I would lose 6 pounds of body fat and 6 inches off my waist. I started supplementing with the fish oil, vitamin D and the quality probiotics offered at Eupraxia to optimize my health. Within five months, I would be down over twenty pounds in body fat, and had lowered my cholesterol from 236 to 205, my energy would increase, my sleep improved, my mental clarity would improve, and my depression would start to lift. Over a year into this life change now, I am down 38 pounds of body fat, I am stronger, doing full floor pushups and conquering those box jumps. Every single one of my health struggles has been dramatically improved, if not eliminated by changing how I eat and move.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE:

The ability to improve my health and well being through food and exercise has felt immensely empowering. I feel free; no longer a slave to my old health and my old body, or some uncontrollable situation. I could grab the bull by the horns, put in the hard work with consistency and effort and change my life. I was in control. Looking to the future, I feel hopeful about what the next 36 years will look like. It’s the kind of thing that starts to impact every other area of your life. I am still amazed by it, and grateful for it every single day.

KEITH

My whole life I had battled with weight, I have never been terribly over weight but always too heavy for my height. Over the years, since high school age, I have tried different fitness programs from memberships at the Y, 24 hour fitness centers and self programs such as walking or riding bicycles; with all I had varying degrees of success. The same with weight loss. I’ve tried all sorts of diets and all diets had a problem, one day they ended and pretty soon I was back to my old habits. 4 or 5 years ago I had tried to change my eating habit’s on my own and walk daily, with this I had fair results inside of a year I had went from 245# down to 195# and that seemed good. The problem was I had loss muscle mass also not just fat and I was looking gaunt as well as lighter and wasn’t really in that good of shape. Then to make matters worse I had slacked off some and in the course of the next few months slowly gained some weight and was now back to over 220# on top of having lost the muscle mass.

I knew I needed something and I felt it really needed to be a lifestyle change, something I could live with everyday. I had noticed Eupraxia’s ad in the La Crosse Tribune and also noticed some of the testimonials were from people I knew. With this, and a New Year upon me, I decided to sign up for an 8 week session in January of 2014. It was only a ½ hour commitment each day and they would help me with my diet so what could it hurt. Well that first week and many weeks after that I did hurt, but in a good way I was building back muscle and in the meantime, with their help, learning how to eat better. It is really like having a personal trainer in every way, they are always there to help you and push you to new levels. (I would like to mention that in fall of 2012 I had a total shoulder replacement and with their help we modified the workouts until my shoulder is now close to the same strength of my other shoulder) The program varies, so every week we are doing something different and working on different parts of the body. The fact that it’s in a group setting, only helps to motivate me as to always use a little bit heavier weight or to push through to the end of all the reps and show up every day.

What I found was that I never go hungry and I eat foods that taste really great, I just make sure what I am eating is good fuel for my body. I also got into the habit of going every week-day, it’s only ½ hour a day and just a routine part of my day now. Oh yeah, when my 8 weeks were up I was seeing such a great improvement and feeling so good in every other activity, I just signed up and kept going. It’s now been 9 months and it is part of my routine. My last weight in, I was down to 186# from the 226# when I started. My muscle mass has increased and my overall fitness at age 58 is better than it’s been in 30 years. Thanks to Dr. Steve and all on the Eupraxia staff for the daily greetings, encouragement and the challenges, it makes it so easy to keep going back!

LISA

After I had my second child, I was at the highest weight I’d ever been and, while I loved being a mom to my wonderful boys, I had never been unhappier with myself or the way that I looked. I knew I needed to do something not only for myself, but also for my family. I really wanted to be the healthiest I could be for them. I had tried working out so many times in my life and had always dreaded it. I was constantly telling myself, “I will start a new diet tomorrow”, or the famous “I’ll start working out Monday”. I would do ok for a few weeks, and then slowly go back to my old ways and eventually just give up. I remember exploring different gyms online, planning my next attempt, and saw that the La Crosse Fitness Festival was starting. I started reading about it and read that Eupraxia was letting people trial their program for free for a week. I thought “what do I have to lose?”

I am thankful every day that I made that decision. I will never forget my first week at Eupraxia. I honestly didn’t think that I was going to make it. I think they may have invented the saying, “If it were easy, everyone would do it.” I never want to be as sore as I was that first week again in my life! It made me realize just how out of shape I really was. Looking back it would have been so easy to give up, thankfully I didn’t. With help and motivation from the trainers and the other members I pushed through and now have been training at Eupraxia for just over a year. Every day it challenges me. And every day I look forward to going. It truly is for anyone. It doesn’t matter where you are on your fitness journey each workout is tailored for your own pace and difficulty. One of the things that I like the most is that every single workout is trainer-led, and the trainers do the same exact workouts that the members do. They are there to help you, and to push you.

To me it is not even about my weight anymore. Yes I LOVE being able to say that I have lost over 50lbs, and have went from a size 18 pants to a size 10, but it is now about being healthier and getting stronger. I still have a long way to go to get to where I want to be and can’t wait to reach more of my goals with Eupraxia.

BEN

Back in January of last year (2018) I went on a dream vacation.  My wife and I where over in London and we were miserable.  We were walking everywhere and we were just getting tired and it was just the second day of 10.  That is where it started and I realized that I needed to do something.  Then one day at work it was even worse and I thought to myself “I needed to do something now.” I was also having chronic back pain at about the same time and found out that I have two compressed discs in my back.  I had a buddy that just finished up a six week challenge and he felt and looked great.  He had been giving me a hard time and I finally asked him what it was all about.  At first I was a little leery. But I knew I needed to do something and Eupraxia fit what I was looking for.  It showed me how to eat healthy and had a great environment.  I finally took the step and started my challenge April 21, 2018 and have never looked back.  I have gotten rid of 60 lbs and feel great.  I raced in a 10K and a Spartan; two things that I never thought I would do. And this year I am going to complete a Spartan Trifecta.  Thanks, you guys have given me time back with my boys.

TARYN

Warning: This will be lengthy.

About a month ago, my husband was sorting through old papers when he came across a medical record of mine. I had gone to the doctor in 2016 complaining of horrible back and feet pain. And it wasn't just that one instance. No. I endured that pain daily, for years. When he showed me the paperwork, I took time and reflected on all the pain I had before Eupraxia.

I was a server and would spend my whole shift on my feet, walking around, lifting trays. My feet would be sore during my shift but as soon as I got in my car, drove home and tried to get out of my car and up to my apartment, I could hardly walk. I would have shooting pains in my feet and lower back. Some nights I would crawl into bed and cry because the pain was so bad. Everyday before a shift, I would take 3 Tylenol and then I would take another 3 before bed just so I could sleep.

But the pain was only one symptom of my lifestyle. I was so depressed and drained of energy that most days I would wake up at 10:30am, have breakfast of some sort and watch Netflix then I would take a nap from Noon until 2pm then I would get ready and go to work, come home, sleep and start the cycle all over again. Not to mention I had high blood pressure and prediabetes.

I was a mess. And the worst part about it was that I knew the person I saw in the mirror wasn't me. It was some ghost of myself that I hardly recognized. I looked at her and all I could think was "how did I let this happen?"

I had dreams of traveling, but how could I do that when I hardly fit into a plane seat?

I had dreams of owning a hobby farm, but how could I do that when I could hardly walk after work?

I had dreams of writing a novel, but how could I do that when I slept all day?

December of 2017, my husband saw the Facebook Advertisement for the 6-week challenge starting in January 2018. It took some convincing but I signed up for it and I haven't been the same since.

By the end of the challenge, I lost 19.5 pounds and I was virtually pain free (besides the soreness from my workouts but that pain was welcomed). Now it has been about 20 months since starting Eupraxia and I am off my hypertension medication, down 85 pounds and still pain free.

My progress hasn't been super fast but it will be lasting.

The most rewarding part of my lifestyle change happened February 2019. My Seasonal Depression hit me hard this past winter so my mother generously took me on a mini vacation to Florida. The condo we rented was on the second floor with steep stairs. My mom automatically started taking my luggage to haul up to our home for the week because she was so used to my back pain prohibiting me from lifting or carrying things. But I shook my head, took my luggage from her and carried not only my luggage but hers as well. She was amazed. And I was thrilled. Not only because I could finally carry my own weight but I was so happy that I could bless my mother in this way. It was a great reminder to her and to myself that as she got older, I would be able to take care of her.

Now when I look in the mirror, I finally see myself again. My dreams seem attainable and I feel physically equipped to go where ever God has called me. And that is huge!

Thank you for all the months of pushing me, Lindsey! Thanks for making me uncomfortable 😉

KEVIN

Since I joined Eupraxia I have completely changed my diet. I ate pretty crappy before, A LOT of junk food. I was taking Omeprazole to treat GERD. It was prescription strength, about twice the dosage of Prilosec OTC. Once I started Eupraxia I started dropping weight pretty fast. The change in diet had me feeling better. I stopped taking the Omeprazole about four weeks ago, and have not had any problems with heartburn, or acid reflux. Before if I missed taking it I was going to be hurting later in the day.

My blood pressure has been at its highest 152/92 checked at a doctor’s appointment in December 2013. The doctor was ready to put me on blood pressure medication, but I told her I would rather change my lifestyle to improve my health rather than take medication. So I started exercising and had to go back for a follow up 6 months later. I had not changed my diet much at that point. My blood pressure was 134/86 at the follow up appointment in June 2014. The next time I checked my blood pressure it was somewhere in between those. Where it stands today, it’s about 115/73. I can honestly say it felt good to see that the work and diet were paying off.

KENDRA

I joined Eupraxia six months ago [from when I wrote this], and it has been an absolute life change for me! I can’t believe how far I’ve come in the six months and how strong I’ve gotten!  I have always been pretty mindful about trying to eat healthy, but the working out aspect was definitely lacking for me.  I’ve tried typical gyms in the past, but was intimidated, lacked motivation, and ultimately wasn’t sure of what I was even doing.  Not surprisingly, I never had much success.
Recently, my sister got married in Mexico, and seeing the pictures of myself on the beach made me cringe, and I knew I had to change!
My friend had been going to Eupraxia for a while at the time, and after seeing how amazing and strong she had become, there was no question in my mind that this is what I had to do!  I signed up for the 8 weeks, and I remember my first workout at Eupraxia, it was awful!  I wanted to throw up, faint, and die!  The whole first week was awful actually!  I can not even put into words as to how sore I was!! I am SO happy I stuck it out though because it was all 100% worth it!  The work outs are still hard as heck, don’t get me wrong, but definitely a good kind of hurt these days! :) Seeing my body change, get stronger, and be able to do exercises that I couldn’t do in weeks past have been my motivation for coming back every single day.  I love the group work out setting at Eupraxia, it’s really not intimidating, and I love all the different exercises and how everyday is something different.  The trainers are amazing! Amber, Steve, Lindsay, Kevin, Peter, and Ray to name a few, are so motivating, knowledgeable, and always push you to do your best.  Steve’s nutritional seminars are great too! He breaks nutrition down into a way that I had never thought of before, and it just clicked for me.  It is definitely a life style change, but a change I am so happy I made!
I would recommend Eupraxia to anyone wanting to get in better shape and just better overall health!  It’s amazing to see the results of proper nutrition and hard work!

DARCI

A good friend of mine recently made a comment to me saying, “Don’t you wish you could take a magic pill at night and wake up 50 lbs lighter? That would make things so much easier.” Man, isn’t that the truth. But, the truth is, there is no magic pill. It all comes down to hard work.

This month marks 3 years for me at Eupraxia. In Feb. 2012 I had just had my 4th baby. I was totally fed up with how I looked and felt. I had always been an athletic person, never the “skinny girl” but athletic, all through high school and even after. But, having kids and bad eating habits, the weight just kept going up. After each baby I would get down to a certain weight and I would be content with it. Not happy, but content. I was reading the paper one Sunday and saw the ad to try an 8 week session at Eupraxia for a low rate and they would teach you better eating habits and each day was a different workout. It sounded pretty good and the price was right. What could it hurt? Now, here we are 3 years later.

It was shortly after that 8 week session that I became pregnant with my 5th baby . I wasn’t quite sure how that was going to be working out and being pregnant, but I kept at it. The trainers were able to help me alter certain moves so I was able to do them with an ever growing belly. So, safe to say I didn’t exactly lose weight my first year at Eupraxia. But, I was exercising and slowly changing my eating habits. After having my baby, I couldn’t wait to come back and start exercising and get myself into better shape.

Like I said, it has been 3 years now that I have been working out at Eupraxia. And I wasn’t fully dedicated to working out and eating healthy right away. I really couldn’t tell you when I started seeing real results, because the time has just flown by. I can tell you that it is when I really changed my diet, eating more fresh veggies and fruit, lean protein and getting rid of the junk food. I have to admit, I love my breads, baked goods and ice cream. Those are still my biggest weaknesses. I haven’t given them up totally, but I am much more aware now of what I eat. So, I can say that it is the great combination of working out regularly and eating right is when I started seeing results.

Lindsay recently sent me my “before” photos that were taken on the first day during the orientation. I had never seen those photos. I still have mixed emotions when I see them. But, then I realize, yes, I have lost about 50 lbs since starting and yes, I am down 3 pant sizes and yes, I have quite a bit more muscle than when I started. I never would have thought I could have accomplished all of that. I know I couldn’t have without the help of the trainers and the amazing friends (you know who you are) that I have gained while at Eupraxia. They have helped push me to do better and tested me to see what I can accomplish.

This journey has been scary, painful, rewarding and most of all, life altering. I love knowing that I am a healthier, happier person for my kids and husband. Surprisingly, they aren’t sick of hearing about the crazy workout I had or how sore I am, at least they haven’t let on that they are. Either way, they’re going to keep hearing about it, because there is always something to improve on, and I’m not done yet.

JASON

"Thank you for the last 6 weeks! It has been difficult yet so rewarding at the same time. I have lost weight and body fat but I'm the most and overall healthier choices.

20 pounds in 6 weeks is good, but the results I see in the mirror are beyond my expectations. If you look close enough or use your imagination, it may even look like abs are forming 💪

Thanks again and I am excited to continue this journey.
New goals, stay driven!"

JENNA

My name is Jenna Kowalke. I have been a member at Eupraxia off and on for about 3 years now. Since day 1, I fell in love with how Eupraxia works; for its members to have a healthier and happier life. The nutrition plan is there for you, the gym work outs are set up for you, all you need is the right mind set and motivation and it is guaranteed success! However, with that being said, I did not have that success in my first 2 years training at Eupraxia. My first two years with Eupraxia, I was only able to train during my summers off from college.  I would come home from college all motivated to lose weight, after packing on all of the weight from….you know….the college life ;) I would cut down my portion sizes and work out every day. I saw some results, but the day I went back to college in the fall, my results quickly faded away. Away from Eupraxia I tried everything…I spent a shameful amount of money on Adovocare, Isagenix…you name it, I tried it. Those products made me hungrier, and did not give me the energy I needed to make it through the day without snacking. They were a short-term fix, but in the end, they were not the life style change that I needed.

Then after graduation, I was fortunate enough to find a teaching position back in the area. When I returned, I was a poor college graduate with students loans up the wazoo, so the chain fitness center sign in town with the “$8.99″ sign up fee was calling my name. Once again, not the motivation and life style change that I needed to get back to a healthier and happier me. Finally, I came to my senses and returned to Eupraxia last March. This time, I was returning weighing in at a whopping 160 pounds and a height of 5’2″. NOT HEALTHY! College definitely got the best of me. This is when I said to myself, “Jenna, you need to step it up.” I had heard Steve’s nutrition talk before, but I had never acted on it. I finally took the leap and started eating Paleo.  Since then, I have never looked back. I will admit, cutting out wheat and dairy was very hard for me at first, but once I cut out the dirty foods, and tried to “cheat” and add them back in, my body showed me why they really should not be a part of my regular diet. I cannot eat those foods anymore without feeling or getting sick. I have more energy than I ever have before, without supplements or shakes, and I do not need to binge eat to feel full. The message I have behind all of my rambling is: diet is everything! When I first started at Eupraxia, I just followed their workout routine and did not follow their recommendations for eating. It was not until I started eating clean that I really started seeing results. It has been a year now of clean eating and a consistent workout routine, and I have lost over 30 pounds in fat and have gained a lot of muscle along the way.  I cannot express how happy I am and how comfortable I feel in my skin now. Eupraxia has changed my life. I have never met such amazing people that are truly there to help you reach your goals and become a happier and healthier person. Eupraxia has become my second home. I love all of my trainers, I love all of the members, and I am proud to say that I have started teaching classes myself! Thank you Eupraxia for everything that you do. Everyone can do it, and Eupraxia is there to take you to the finish line. All I want now is for everyone to be able to see the success that I did, feel the way I do, and be able to say, “I DID IT! I LOVE MYSELF”.

JESSICA

Hit my 50lb. Milestone last week! I gained 60+ lbs during my pregnancy and it has taken me over a year to get here. Now, I’m no Super Model... But when your muscle mass SIGNIFICANTLY outweighs your fat mass, you sure do feel like one! When I was 6 weeks postpartum from my emergency c-section and my doctor cleared me for exercise, I was at Eupraxia at 6am the next morning enrolling in a membership. For the Mama’s out there struggling, don’t give up! You CAN do it! This wasn’t easy with a newborn and being in my 30’s. When you start a lifestyle change, it’s important to have a ‘why.’ My ‘why’ is my son. I want to be healthy, for my son. I want to set an example, for my son. I want to be strong, for my son. Waking up at 4am to workout with little to no sleep, avoiding my favorite junk food, taking the stairs instead of the elevator, cutting out alcohol/going out to be in bed early for weekend AM workouts.. Everything I’ve done, was for my son. Lastly, for myself.
A lot of people have been asking what I’m doing and don’t worry, I’m not advertising some breakthrough diet & exercise program. However, mine is a combination... Half of the week I workout at Eupraxia and the days I work from home, I use Beachbody on Demand. For diet, I have mainly just avoided sugar, sodium and bad carbs. There is no easy one-step process. If you want something, you HAVE to work for it. PERIOD.

WALLACE

Thanks Jack and everyone. Have you ever looked at yourself in the mirror and said I need to make a change? This is what happened to me in April. I then started looking for a gym. I have joined many a gym in my past and lasted a few months but paid for a year. I remembered my financial advisor saying something about Eupraxia. It took me until May to reach out. Steve answered my questions quickly and set me up with Pete to start my training. If it was not for Pete’s training style I probably had my first session and left. It was difficult. The next week I prepaid for 10 weeks. I continue to love my workouts now with Jack. I love eating better. I love Eupraxia, the fun I have with my trainers (Jack makes me laugh each week), making healthy food, and the camaraderie of this community. Though I stumble a some weekends, I will never go back and this community is stuck with me. Eupraxia=Transformation!

JENNY

"Seeing the progress that I’ve made with the last two six week challenges have left me speechless! It’s been almost a year of consistent hard work in the gym and also in the kitchen but it surly does pay off! I’m excited to say I’m down 53 pounds, happier, healthier, stronger, confident, and more motivated than ever! I truly wouldn’t have been able to do this without the words of encouragement from the trainers at Eupraxia everyday! I’m so happy I found a gym that’s so welcoming, friendly, with a judge free environment!  Thank you Eupraxia for teaching me this new lifestyle. If it wasn’t for the trainers telling me I can go quicker or lift heavier who knows if I’d in the same spot that I am now!"

SARAH

In high school it was so easy to stay active being involved in sports but once I got to college I started to let myself slip away. Not working out as much, eating like crap, and being tired all the time.

Junior year came around and I was the heaviest I had ever been. I knew I needed a change and thankfully I found that change at Eupraxia.

I began at Eupraxia with the “6 week challenge” which I am just now ending and have lost 16.8 pounds and 7.5% body fat. With the challenge, I was given meal plans created by Dr. Czys which were so EASY to follow and included AMAZING recipes. (Eating healthy is pretty damn tasty).

The trainers were all incredible- helping me push through every work out and challenging me to give 110% every time. It wasn’t easy starting out, but with determination anything is possible.

Since beginning at Eupraxia my mood has elevated, my confidence increased, my average exam scores have improved by over 12%(that’s huge!!), and I have better learned to respect my body and what I fuel it with.

Thanks Eupraxia for showing me a new lifestyle both in the kitchen and at the gym. You are the foundation of my success story and I can’t wait to continue this journey.

JOSH

Thank you Eupraxia. My results are pretty dramatic. This program has transformed more than just my body. It has been an overhaul of my lifestyle and my whole family has benefited.

JEN

Even though I did not lose 20lbs or 5% body fat in the 6 week challenge, I am extremely excited & proud of the 13.6lbs & 4.3% body fat loss that I did achieve. I didn’t realize how much that was until I seen the before and after pictures. What I have learned from the challenge is way more than I could have ever imagined or expected. I learned how to make clean/healthy meals and love it! I learned how to use so many different spices & oils that I have never used before and love them! I have made so many vegetables different ways and love them!
Oh and the workouts....they are AWESOME! The trainers are AMAZING & so helpful in every way. You get such an explosive 35-40 min workout – it’s over before you know it. (until the next day when you feel it.) 😋
Also, this is the first time in my life that I did it without taking pills, supplements, shakes, etc. It was all in the weekly nutrition menu & grocery list Eupraxia supplied & the dedication to working out. My husband even lost 6lbs just by eating the meals we made. Another victory - I took my scale out of my bathroom and only weighed myself the 3 weigh-ins compared to the normal every day and sometimes twice.
I LOVE it so much that I have decided to continue my journey of working out at Eupraxia...I can’t wait to see where I will be in another month, year!
Thank you so much ~ Steve, Chelsea, Stacie, Jack, Lindsey & Kick A** Kev

SARA

"I went all in last year and focused on myself....I changed my diet completely and worked out more and my results has made so much difference in myself inside and outside.

I am happy with the support of my family and also with my Eupraxia-Tomah family. I can’t wait to see what the next year brings when I focus even more on my overall health.

I hope I can inspire others to focus on there health and overall wellness."

NEIL

If someone had told me I could lose 21.2 lbs and 3.9% body fat in 6 weeks I would have called them nuts.

Now I just eat a lot more nuts and the skepticism is gone. By no means is it easy but it is possible with the help of Dr. Czys and the awesome trainers. Thanks you!

JEN K

50lbs GONE!!! 🎉 🎉🎉

Jen only has to haul that big bag of dog food to and from her 🚗 , rather than carrying it around on her shoulders every minute, of every day. 💪🏼

This is worth the read!

(When asked if she was comfortable sharing her 📸): “I don’t mind. I feel great! I am comfortable with myself which I haven’t been for quite a long time.”

My daughter got me to join again. Last time I just didn’t have my nutrition on check. I hated my picture to be taken cause I was not comfortable. I have been like this for 20 plus years. I have cried so many tears. Just wanted pictures with my kids and then was unhappy after.

I used to cram 50 extra lbs in the pants that are a little big on me, but I am able to wear them comfortably now. I am not sure what jeans size I even am, but I went from XL to medium in jeggings and a large/XL shirt to a medium.

My mind is very set as to where I want to be. I want to be in a healthy range. I did want to reach 50 lbs. A big milestone!!! I plan on getting a new tattoo. 😁🤘🏼

I am stronger now. Can lift more and push myself harder. The Eupraxia Coaches pushed me, for the better!

Best part about Eupraxia is the class atmosphere. I like going to class and seeing my fitness friends. I like for this to be something that I do with my daughter. 👯‍♀️

Just give it a try. Eupraxia offers one week free. You will grow to love it and if you miss a class you will have the feeling like you missed something IMPORTANT.

I am very glad my daughter talked me into joining again and giving me the happiness back to life ☺️

KAITLIN

As I sat down to dinner tonight (burger bowl - my fav!) I realized I didn't download the week 6 meal plan. At that moment I realized how far I've come these last six weeks. How I eat now is just what I do. I'm stronger, happier, and healthier. I'm defining myself as an athlete (thanks DeeDee!!! 😉). Regardless of what the scale says tomorrow, I'm proud of the work I've put in and embracing my lifestyle. I've had lots of people ask me when my "diet" ends. It doesn't. So a HUGE shout out to the trainers and other members of this group and athletes at the gym. You inspire me. I decided to share my before and after pics - mid December to mid February. In two months I've made some physical changes I'm really proud of, but I'm more excited about the mental shift. Here's to continuing the lifestyle! 😎

NICK

On April 24th, 2018, I went to my first class. It whooped my butt. It was hard, I was tired, I don't remember the last time I had sweat that much from a workout. I also LOVED it.

Over the next 6 weeks I adjusted my lifestyle to working out more often and eating better. Working out, however, became less like work and more of a challenge to myself.

They became fun. The trainers I got to work with were energetic, encouraging, and more than willing to answer any questions.

You guys, I LOVE going to the gym now. I also still love to run. I haven't felt this good since probably when I was 21, that 8 years ago. I'm nearing being in the best shape of my life. You can do it too, if you want to.

NOU

THIS! This is all thanks to the tips from Eupraxia!! Although I havent had much time to come work my ass off at Eupraxia, I follow the Eupraxian rules and tips when it came to food and workouts. I hate burpees still, but they have done wonders for me. From 2012 to 2017, I tried EVERY diet pill and fad out there. I admit it. I even tried that lame keto diet in January of this year. And I will admit... nothing works as good as the Eurpraxian diet. Yes, I DO eat chocolate here and there. Yes, I DO eat that piece of cake when its someones birthday. It is all about how you will control yourself. I am proud to say that since 2012, I have had 4 kids, lost 50 lbs, kicked depression/suicide thoughts out of my mind, and lost 6 dress sizes. Lucky husband, he stayed the same for 7 years. Lol. Anyways, keep going! One life, one body. Cherish it!

“Warning some embarrassing pics but I don’t give a damn.😉🙈

I’ll keep it short and sweet! It’s been a crazy 365 days and 140 pounds down. Still not where I want to be but all I got is time! Making 2020 my year to find myself. 🤘🏼😘

What can ya say? Amazing, inspiring, proud, congrats. We're just so happy for your success. Keep moving forward and inspiring others!

NICOLE

❤️"Thank you again... I have never had results like this with minimal effort compared to previous efforts.

I’ve been a Combative’s instructor in the Army, played rugby and women’s pro football, and ran marathons... but I have done all of that 40-50 lbs heavier than I am today.

Thank you for changing my life. Truly!!! It’s far more than an outward change."

JENNY

"Completing the 6 Week Challenge was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made! I was hesitant on doing this challenge because of the fear of failing yet another diet.

That didn’t happen this time, I’m down 22.6 pounds in 6 weeks and haven’t felt this great in a long time! The way the meal plans and workouts are set up everyone should have a success story to share.

My energy level has gone up! I’ve never been so motivated and excited to workout! I actually get disappointed when I have to miss a workout.

The biggest changes I’ve noticed is the way my clothes fit. I actually have to go buy smaller smaller scrubs for work, which just gives me an excuse to go shopping!

After the six weeks were done and over with, not only did my appearance change, but I’m 🤩HAPPIER🤩 and 💪🏼 STRONGER 💪🏼 ! I wouldn’t be where I am today without the amazing support & motivation from the trainers & members! I can’t wait to continue this lifestyle and see what the future holds for me!"

ANGELA

This is an amazing place. I can’t say enough about it. The people are top notch and are so encouraging & supportive. I never would have thought I would be as successful as I have been. Nailed the 6-week challenge and am so excited to continue to watch my own personal transformation! Thank you Heather , Rachel, and all the Eupraxia folks! Great music, too! 🙂 I highly recommend you go check it out! (Plus they have great deals to do just that... like 7-days free, or  [sometimes] 30 days for $30). Thank you, Eupraxia, for jump starting a change in my life and helping me form new, healthy habits!

ALEX

"One year at Eupraxia today. It has been the best year. Almost 40 lbs of fat off of my body. I have so much more energy and feel much healthier than I did last year at this time. I feel very fortunate to have found a community of people working to improve their lives. I'm looking forward to another great year with you all!"

JOSIE

So Monday I left my workout very emotional. Angry, upset, frustrated, cried all the way back to Mindoro.

I felt like a failure because I only lost 5 pounds! I have never eaten so good or worked out so hard. Then Tuesday I put a pair of shorts on that 6 weeks ago were so tight on my chunky thighs. I pulled them up all day!!!

Then I was curious. I told my husband it was photo time again. Tuesday night we got these!!! I truly am a believer now. The scale can be the devil. Dr. Czys, here I am 6 weeks out!!!

JASON & ERIN

"We cannot tell you how grateful we are for being able to be a part of this program. This whole process came at the right time for Jay and I.

It is funny how things workout sometimes. Sometimes life gets so crazy it is nice to be able to spend this time together and pushing each other to be healthy.

We have a lot of people ask us about what we have done and we gladly tell them about this program because it is life changing. We are so grateful for you and the other trainers pushing us to be better. Cheers to continuing a healthy lifestyle.

Erin and Jason

P.S. In my picture Jay said he is happy that now I can lift my arms up higher...lol I just didn't look at the pic until later and I didn't want to put a sweaty bra back on. " 😂🤣

ABBIE

I can remember thinking in the winter of 2018 that something had to change, I was overweight and didn't feel 100%. I felt uncomfortable in my own skin and decided that this wasn't the life I wanted to live any longer.

When I first started, it sucked and it was hard to keep committed. (The 6 week challenge is the best way to keep you accountable) At first, I was reserved about coming as it was new and sometimes the unknown is scary! But I had a friend that was super supportive of keeping me going! Now I get upset when something comes up and miss a work out.

I did find that eating habits were extremely hard to change along with drinking alcohol. I personally find if you can cut alcohol, everything else falls into place.

I also found it really important to talk with other members. I love crunch food so I had to replace it with something crunch that was healthy. My favorite is apple chips! There are always bumps in the road, but as long as you keep focusing on what will make you feel good verses what will taste good you will be fine! Now,I have FINALLY been able to fully implement a healthy lifestyle at our house. My husband is a very picky eater and he now asks for healthy foods! (He of course has only been eating healthy for a couple of months and has lost 20lbs.)

I have lost around 25 lbs since starting in the beginning of 2018. I have noticed my muscles! I love how the trainers keep pushing me to do more! It honestly feels so good after a work out knowing you pushed it! I tried other programs prior to Eupraxia but found minimal success. Here, love the trainers, workouts and atmosphere! Now I get compliments about how good I look. I honestly think looking good is a perk but I have so much energy and feel so good! I can now go ALLLLL day! I have so much energy and feel great!

~Abbie

"V"

🔥V went all in and boy does it show!🔥

"Here are some of the before and after photos I was showing you. I can't believe the difference in just 4 -1/2 months!

I'm really not a big person on sharing photos of myself...(thus why my face is covered by phone) . However, that being said, when I first joined Eupraxia, seeing some of the before and after photos of people, that are still at the gym, served as very powerful and motivational tool.

Thus, I figured if my photos could be inspirational to someone else, then it would be beneficial to share them. I do ask that if these photos ever be posted/shared, please put a smiley face or something over the photos where my face is not covered .

Maybe someday I will be comfortable enough in my own body to share photos with my face visible. hahaha.

During my short time at Eupraxia,I have achieved and met my initial goals, as well as my secondary goals.

I still have a lot I can improve, and yes, I have had to put in the work, and cleaned up my eating habits...but it truly has been a joint effort between all the wonderful trainers, Steve, and Eupraxian members."

Just wanted to say Thanks!!!
See you at the gym
P.S. I need a new goals sheet.
